WaitWhat Application: Part 2 — Creation of Campaign Brand Mark
Disclaimer: My intention is not to use the Masters of Scale color scheme, Brand mark of Reid Hoffman, or the name Masters of Scale to cause confusion or infringe on the branding of WaitWhat. This is a way for me to differentiate myself from other applicants for the position of Social Media Editor
For the first part of my application, I thought the use of an image would be helpful to show how I will be combining my storytelling abilities with the branding of the WaitWhat podcast “Masters of Scale” in order to make my case for being hired as Social Media editor.
The abacus logo is my trademark:
It represents how I see the world. It shows how my creativity and my non creative side come together in order to tell stories.
To demonstrate that I can do something creative with a low budget. I first thought to use adobe illustrator in order to create an image.
Side note, while completing my education requirements for the CPA License I took a graphic design course which I learned how to use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign among others in order to create works of art. I also learned the correct format with which to export these files so that the quality is correct.
However when I faced issues with my current computer on setting up Adobe Illustrator, in favor of speed to market, I used Microsoft Paint instead. I realized I could take a screenshot of the Masters of Scale website and use the eye dropper tool in paint to pull the color scheme from the website. I also pulled the brand mark of Reid Hoffman from the website in order to combine the two.
