The Color Wheel Is Always Spinning

Color Wheel

When I was in High School I remember having a discussion with a few of my friends about the possibility that we may not all see colors in the same way. For example think of color blindness, red and green for example is a common color blindness and so when I look at green someone who is color blind could be seeing red.

We were imagining that on a much larger scale. That this “color blindness” was universal but instead of not being able to distinguish a certain color, that our names for colors somehow got mixed up shortly after birth.

For example, below is an image of the color “brown” that pops up if you search in google:

And we began to believe that I could look at the color brown and see brown, but it may be possible that you looked at the color brown and saw what I perceived as the color blue. Then we got to think of the implications of it.
